Kim is a seasoned marketer with over 15 years experience in strategic marketing, branding and business development. She has worked with numerous organizations from startups to Fortune 50 in brand research, strategy and tactics, positioning, naming, messaging, identity development, brand revitalization and implementation (advertising, collateral, direct marketing, event marketing, email marketing, internet strategy and publicity). She understands the unique challenges of marketing through business-to-business channels and branding service firms. She is passionate about helping her clients build brand preference and a system to support business development goals. Her team has been recognized numerous times for producing exceptional ROI—including recognition at the American Marketing Association “M Awards” as Technology Marketer of the Year, Consumer Marketer of the Year and Nonprofit Marketer of the Year.
She is an active community leader serving on the Business Alliance of George Mason University and Reston Chamber IncSpire Advisory boards. She also serves on the American Marketing Association, DC Chapter Past Presidents Council and the Executive Marketing Roundtable committee. Kim has held positions as a partner and CMO for a branding agency, marketing director for a trade association and television station, proposal manager for a government contractor and designer for the Air Force. Kim holds a MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University and BBA in Marketing from James Madison University. She serves as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University teaching marketing and entrepreneurship.
